IPL 2026 Current Status

The Indian Premier League 2026 points table is shaping up into a fiercely contested playoff race, with Punjab Kings currently leading the standings with 13 points from nine matches. Royal Challengers Bengaluru sit second with 12 points and the best Net Run Rate (NRR) among the top teams, while Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals occupy third and fourth positions respectively.

Gujarat Titans are level on points with the top four but remain outside the playoff spots due to an inferior NRR. The mid-table battle remains intense, with Chennai Super Kings still firmly in contention on 10 points, while every remaining fixture is becoming crucial for teams chasing qualification.

At the other end of the table, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Mumbai Indians are under growing pressure after inconsistent campaigns and poor recent form. Lucknow Super Giants appear closest to elimination with just four points from nine matches and a five-game losing streak.

Momentum has become a defining factor in IPL 2026, with Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Gujarat Titans building strong winning runs at the right time, while several traditional powerhouses are struggling to maintain consistency. With the tournament entering its decisive phase, the race for the top four remains wide open, and Net Run Rate could ultimately play a decisive role in playoff qualification.
