IPL 2025 Mega Auction Overseas Players Set wise Final List

Jos Buttler and Glenn Maxwell in focus in our final list of set-wise Overseas players for the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

With less than a week to go and the excitement and eagerness to witness the highest spectacle of the season, the IPL 2025 Mega Auction is already at its peak. More than 500 players will go under the hammer with 206 spots up for grabs. While Indian players will fetch the limelight at the Auction, many Overseas players will also be in huge demand.

Ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, only 11 Overseas players were retained by the Franchises with a few teams like Mumbai Indians, RCB, etc., opting not to retain any player. Since the introduction of the RTM rule, Teams have been cautions in terms of the value they give to any Overseas player. Hence, most teams decided to release them in the Auction, and buy them via RTM cards basis their true value.

In terms of Overseas players, each team can buy up to 8 Overseas players. So, with around 70 spots still up for grabs, needless to say, Teams will be on the hiring spree when it comes to Overseas players for IPL 2025. But which quality players are available in the Auction, and which set they will come in? Well, let’s look at the complete final list of Overseas players for the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. 

IPL 2025 Set wise Overseas Players List

Set 1

  1. Jos Buttler
  2. Kagiso Rabada
  3. Mitchell  Starc

Set 1 will see three solid players going under the hammer. 1st and 2nd Sets can turn out to be gold mines for any player; more so if there is quality involved. All three players, Jos Buttler, Kagiso Rabada, and Mitchell Starc are proven match-winners of the game. So, expect teams to go bang hard at them, and there could also be a possibility of Punjab Kings using an RTM card on Kagiso Rabada. 

Set 2 

  1. David Miller
  2. Liam Livingstone

2nd Set players will also see two quality finishers, David Miller and Liam Livingstone going under the hammer. Finishers are a rare entity in T20 cricket, and if there are solid options available, one can definitely expect teams to go bang hard at them. There is also a big possibility of Punjab Kings and even Gujarat Titans using RTM cards on these two players. 

Set 3

  1. Aiden Markram
  2. David Warner
  3. Devon Conway
  4. Harry Brook
  5. Jake Fraser-Mcgurk

3rd set will see many quality Overseas batters going under the hammer. Be it Aiden Markram, David Warner, Devon Conway, Harry Brook, or Jake Fraser-McGurk, these batters will be under the focus. There is also a good possibility of CSK and DC using the RTM card option on Devon Conway and Jake Fraser-McGurk respectively.  

IPL 2025 Mega Auction Set 4 Overseas Players

  1. Glenn Maxwell
  2. Marcus Stoinis
  3. Mitchell Marsh
  4. Rachin Ravindra

Talking about Set 4 players, we have four quality all-rounders in focus. All these four all-rounders will mostly fetch big amounts at the Auction. Also, there is a solid possibility of RCB, LSG, DC, and CSK using the RTM card option on Maxwell, Stoinis, Marsh, and Rachin respectively. 

Set 5

  1. Jonny Bairstow
  2. Phil Salt
  3. Quinton De Kock
  4. R’nullah Gurbaz

For set 5, wicket-keepers will be the focus, and once again we have four solid wicket-keepers up for grabs in the form of Jonny Bairstow, Phil Salt, Quinton de Kock, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Of the four, watch out for Phil Salt and Quinton de Kock, who may fetch big at the Auction. 

Set 6

  1. Anrich Nortje
  2. Josh Hazlewood
  3. Trent Boult

Coming to set 6, fast bowlers will be in focus, and we have three quality fast bowlers up for grabs in the form of Anrich Nortje, Josh Hazlewood, and Trent Boult. All three pacers have been exceptional while playing in the IPL. If there is a full commitment in terms of their availability, it is very much possible for them to fetch at the Auction.
