Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Official Full Squad List for IPL 2025

Rishabh Pant expected to lead the team in our official squad and players list for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for IPL 2025.

The Lucknow Super Giants under the Goenka group made history in the Indian Premier League 2025 Auction when the team bought Rishabh Pant for a record price of 27 Cr. This is the highest price any player has got in the auction, and as compensation for a year. After the team decided to part ways with KL Rahul, their current Captain, LSG were in need of a strong leader, and Rishabh Pant felt their best bet in the Auction.

With Rishabh Pant now in the side, he should mostly lead the team ahead of Nicholas Pooran, who isn’t a bad option either. While the team did get Rishabh Pant among Indian superstars, they are known for their Overseas players, and there is solid firepower in this area. However, among Indian players, aside from Pant, LSG has mostly gone ahead with young Indian talent, and that too mostly in the bowling department.

Overall, Lucknow Super Giants have 24 players in their side for IPL 2025. In terms of squad breakup, they have 4 pure batters, 4 wicket-keepers, 5 all-rounders, and 11 pure bowlers in their side. The team has only 6 Overseas players, and that means, if there is an injury, LSG will have to fall back on young Indian players. Nevertheless, with the full list in front of us, let’s look at the complete squad list analysis for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the Indian Premier League 2025

Existing Players LSG Added

Lucknow Super Giants let go of their star player and leader, KL Rahul ahead of the Auction. However, having not retained Kl Rahul, LSG still retained five other players namely Nicholas Pooran, Ravi Bishnoi, Mayank Yadav, Ayush Badoni, and Mohsin Khan. Aside from these five players, LSG bought Arshin Kulkarni, Shamar Joseph, and M Siddharth among existing players; thus a total of 8 existing players that LSG were able to sustain.

New Players that LSG Added

In terms of new players, Lucknow Super Giants bought many new players at the Mega Auction. Among Star Overseas players, LSG bought the likes of Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, David Miller, and Matthew Breetzke among Overseas players. With Nicholas Pooran already there, expect LSG to play Markram, Miller, and Marsh among first-choice Overseas players in the playing 11.

In terms of Indian players, LSG added the likes of Abdul Samad, Shahbaz Ahmed, Akash Deep, Avesh Khan, and Rajvardhan Hangardekar among quality young Indian players, who will make it to the first-choice playing 11.
