Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Full Squad List IPL 2025

Virat Kohli or Rajat Patidar, the potential leader in our official squad and players list for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for IPL 2025.  

The ‘Ee Sala Cup Namde’ gang, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru took a reset approach when it comes to their Overseas players for the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League, IPL 2025. The team retained only 3 Indian players, and didn’t even use the RTM option for their experienced Overseas players like Glenn Maxwell, Will Jacks, Faf du Plessis, etc., even as they had a solid purse to do so. 

RCB had a solid purse going into the Auction, and they could have easily RTM a few of their existing players. But to our surprise, RCB didn’t use a single RTM option, and instead focused on buying new players in the Auction. While retaining 3 players, RCB got 19 players in the Auction including 8 Overseas players. Some of the big names that RCB bought include Phil Salt, Liam Livingstone, Josh Hazlewood, etc. Overall, RCB now have 22 players in their side for IPL 2025. This includes 5 batters, 2 wicket-keepers, 7 all-rounders, and 8 bowlers.

However, the key question they RCB will have is who Captains the side? There’s no Faf du Plessis with the team. So, will RCB go back to Virat Kohli, or have Rajat Patidar, Phil Salt, or Bhuvneshwar Kumar take over the Captaincy? It will be an interesting call that the team will make. Existing Players RCB Added

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru team retained only three of their existing players ahead of the Auction. While Virat Kohli was retained for 21 Cr, the team retained Rajat Patidar for 11 Cr, and Yash Dayal for 5 Cr. However, aside from these three, RCB added only Swapnil Singh and Manoj Bhandage among the existing players. So, overall, RCB’s core will again comprise of 5 players. 

New Players that RCB Added

In terms of new players that RCB added,  there are a total of 17 names to look for. While among Overseas players, RCB added the likes of Phil Salt, Liam Livingstone, Tim David, and Josh Hazlewood as quality first-choice options. Whereas among backup Overseas players, RCB added the likes of Nuwan Thushara, Lungi Ngidi, Jocob Bethell, and Romario Shephard. Thus, RCB added all 8 new Overseas players to their side. 

When it comes to new Indian players that RCB added, we are looking at quality options in the form of Jitesh Sharma, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Devdutt Padikkal, Rasikh Dar, and Suyash Sharma. Whereas among quality backup  Indian players, the team added Swastik Chikara, Mohit Rathee, and Abhinandan Singh – thus a total of 9 Indian players that RCB added for IPL 2025.
