IPL 2025 Download Single Image Complete Final Schedule
KKR vs RCB to kick-off the Indian Premier League on March 22 as we look at the complete single-image download of the schedule for IPL 2025.
It’s official! The Board of Control for cricket in India (BCCI) on Feb 16 announced the official schedule for the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League, IPL 2025. The defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders will kick-start the tournament with a match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 22 in Kolkata. The tournament shall kick-start on March 22, and will run for roughly 64 days with the final to be played on May 25.
With the tournament being run for 64 days, BCCI has kept 11 double headers in the tournament. Except for April 12 and April 19, all other double-headers are on Sunday. The evening matches shall start at 7:30 pm IST. Whereas the afternoon matches on a double-header shall start at 3:30 pm IST. Meanwhile, the playoffs shall kickstart on May 20 with the grand finale scheduled for May 25.
The tournament will also continue in the traditional Home and Away matches format. Most of the teams have a single location as their home location. However, Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings have multiple locations as their home location. While RR will play their home matches in Jaipur and Guwahati, Punjab Kings will play their home matches in New Chandigarh and Dharamsala.
IPL 2025 Format Explained
The BCCI are sticking to the same format as played last year with 10 teams being divided into 2 groups of 5 teams each. Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, and Punjab Kings are placed in Group A. Whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians, and Lucknow Super Giants are placed in Group B.
In terms of matches, each team from their respective Group will play the teams of their group twice, and the teams from the other group once. However, KKR and SRH will play twice, RCB and DC will play twice, RR and GT will play twice, CSK and MI will play twice, and PBKS and LSG will play twice. Overall, each will continue to play 14 group stage matches with total group stage matches being 70.
