With Pant gone, Delhi are once again in the territory of not having any star local player on their side just as they have been doing since 2008.
With Rishabh Pant gone, Delhi Capitals will start their new journey under KL Rahul, who is expected to lead the side for IPL 2025. Delhi Capitals went ahead by focusing on retaining and using RTM cards on only a few players for IPL 2025. While Delhi retained Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Tristan Stubbs, and Abhishek Porel, the team used the RTM card on Jake Fraser-McGurk and Mukesh Kumar. With a total of six players from the existing squad, Delhi Capitals didn’t buy any existing players other than these, thus also letting go of the likes of Rishabh Pant, Mitchell Marsh, and Khaleel Ahmed.

The Delhi Capitals team added plenty of new players.
