Chennai Super Kings, the 5 times IPL champions will be entering the IPL 2025 competition with the hope to solve two things. First is the hope to win their 6th IPL title, and second is the transition of leadership from MS Dhoni to Ruturaj Gaikwad. CSK will see a completely new middle-order with the additions of Rahul Tripathi and Deepak Hooda. Both Rahul and Deepak have done well in the IPL, but are unfortunately struggling for form currently. However, expect both these batters to be flexible in the batting-order. Depending on the match situation, anyone from Tripahi, Dube, or Deepak can play until the number 5 position.

For the finishing duties, CSK will rely on Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni with Sam Curran a strong possibility at number 8 position. CSK have always believed in having a pace all-rounder in their side. They had done this with the likes of Albie Morkel, Deepak Chahar, etc. With Sam coming at 8, CSK have a solid batting depth. Not just that, Sam himself is a brilliant powerplay and death overs bowler.

Finally, looking at the bowling lineup for CSK, the team will be heavily dependent on their spinners as they always do. In their ideal playing 11, they will almost have four spin options in the form of Noor Ahmad, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Deepak Hooda. This shows CSK are sorted for home matches. If they do well in home matches, they do have pacers like Sam Curran, Khaleel Ahmed, Matheesha Pathirana, and Nathan Ellis, who can support them well on away pace-friendly wickets.
