Thankfully, MS decided to continue, and now fans will witness their favorite player continue to play for yet another year. While Dhoni has been retained for 4 Cr, Ruturaj, Jadeja, and Dube will get 18, 18, and 12 Cr respectively.

While all is not lost with respect to Pant, DC can always get Rishabh Pant in the Auction via RTM card in the Auction.

  2. Sai Sudharshan – 8.5 Cr

Talking about Gujarat Titans, the team retained a strong Indian core with 4 solid names in it. The team retained Shubman Gill for 16.5 Cr, Sai Sudharsan for 8.5 Cr, and Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan for 4 Cr each. Unfortunately, the team didn’t retain Mohammed Shami, but they do have the option of getting Mohammed Shami in the Auction via RTM card.

  2. Varun Chakravarthy – 12 Cr

KKR retained all their six players with four being Indians. The team retained a solid Indian core led by Rinku Singh at 13 Cr. However, KKR didn’t retain their IPL-winning Captain, Shreyas Iyer, mostly because of financial discrepancies. Aside from Rinku Singh, KKR retained Varun Chakravrthy, Harshit Rana, and Ramandeep Singh among Indian players.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)

  1. Mayank Yadav – 11 Cr
  2. Ravi Bishnoi – 11 Cr
  3. Mohsin Khan – 4 Cr
  4. Ayush Badoni – 4 Cr

Purse Left: 69 Cr // RTM Cards Left: 1

The Lucknow Super Giants team let go of their star and icon player, KL Rahul citing lack of intent as the main reason. The team is looking for match-winners, and for that, they have retained four solid Indian players, Mayank Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, and Ayush Badoni. The team has one RTM spot left, and among Indian options, LSG can look at Krunal Pandya, Devdutt Padikkal, and Deepak Hooda.

Mumbai Indians (MI)

  1. Jasprit Bumrah – 18 Cr
  2. Hardik Pandya – 16.35 Cr
  3. Suryakumar Yadav – 16.35 Cr
  4. Rohit Sharma – 16.3 Cr
  5. Tilak Varma – 8 Cr

Purse Left: 45 Cr // RTM Cards Left: 1 Uncapped

Mumbai Indians remain the only team to retain all Indian players with five names in the kitty. All of MI’s retentions look solid with Hardik Pandya at the helm, and support from Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, and Tilak Varma. The only missing link in this lineup is Ishan Kishan, who could as well be on MI’s target list in the Auction. If not Kishan, MI may mostly go after the likes of Phil Salt, Cameron Green, Jos Buttler, etc. in the Auction.

Punjab Kings (PBKS)

  1. Shashank Singh – 5.5 Cr
  2. Prabsimran Singh – 4 Cr

Purse Left: 110.5 Cr // RTM Cards Left: 4

Punjab Kings went lean on their retentions, and thus retained only two uncapped Indian players, Shashank Singh and Prabsimran Singh. Both are solid uncapped players, and should play all matches for PBKS in 2025. With four RTM spots left, PBKS can look at the likes of Arshdeep Singh, Harshal Patel, Jitesh Sharma, and Rahul Chahar among Indian options in the Auction.

Rajasthan Royals (RR)

  1. Sanju Samson – 18 Cr
  2. Yashasvi Jaiswal – 18 Cr
  3. Riyan Parag – 14 Cr
  4. Dhruv Jurel – 14 Cr
  5. Sandeep Sharma – 4 Cr

Purse Left: 41 Cr // RTM Cards Left: 0

Rajasthan Royals are the only team aside from Mumbai Indians to have retained 5 Indian players. The team focused on strengthening their batting before the Auction, and for that, RR retained 4 solid Indian batters. It’s a good coincidence, but given the form Sanju Samson is in, it looks evident that he and Yashasvi Jaiswal will open for India in T20Is for many matches together. With Riyan and Jurel also in the side, RR have already found a strong batting unit.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

  1. Virat Kohli – 21 Cr
  2. Rajat Patidar – 11 Cr
  3. Yash Dayal – 5 Cr

Purse Left: 83 Cr // RTM Cards Left: 3

The RCB team for the first time since IPL 2011 retained only Indian players in the form of Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal. A solid Indian trio that RCB were able to finalize will leave RCB with three RTM options in the Auction. Virat Kohli, who has been associated with RCB since 2008 will get 21 Cr as the Salary – the highest for any Indian player so far.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

  1. Abhishek Sharma – 14 Cr
  2. Nitish Reddy – 6 Cr

Purse Left: 45 Cr // RTM Cards Left: 1 Uncapped

The team didn’t retain any uncapped Indian player, but does have an option of RTM in the form of Abdul Samad or Anmompreet Singh.

So, that’s about the complete retained Indian players list for all 10 teams for IPL 2025.
