IPL 2025 Retained Best Fast Bowlers List for All Teams
11 players in confirmed contention in our best predicted retained fast bowlers list for all 10 teams for IPL 2025.
The 10 franchises are currently busy in finalizing the list of players that they would like to retain. The BCCI has set October 31st as the deadline to submit the final retained players list, and that means, teams have roughly 2 weeks before the list is officially out. Given the changes in the IPL 2025 Retention Rules along with the price band change, the upcoming Auction will be the most interesting one to look out for.
Among the category of players that are likely to be retained, Fast bowlers will once again be in focus. Unlike the spinners, Fast bowlers bowl the most difficult overs, viz, the Powerplay and Death overs. Hence, Fast bowlers are usually paid more than spinners, unless the spinners are also well-equipped to bat. Also, each team requires at least three fast bowlers in the final playing 11, thus we see teams also investing more in fast bowlers as compared to spinners.
As we know, IPL 225 will be a Mega Auction, so mostly in all we have only 11 fast bowlers who are almost in contention for retention. So, which are the fast bowlers that are in contention from a retention perspective for IPL 2025? Well, let’s analyze the players of each team, and find out the best possible retained fast bowlers list for all 10 teams ahead of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.
IPL 2025 Best Predicted Retained Fast Bowlers List for All 10 Teams
Pure Capped Fast Bowlers
If we start with pure capped fast bowlers that will be retained for IPL 2025, we are looking at Jasprit Bumrah from MI, Mohammed Shami from Gujarat Titans, Matheesha Pathirana from CSK, Pat Cummins from SRH, and Mayank Yadav from LSG. In all, we are looking at 5 capped fast bowlers that will be retained for IPL 2025. Of the 5 fast bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah and Pat Cummins should get 18 Cr. Whereas Shami, Mayank, and Pathirana should get 11 Cr each.
Fast-Bowling All-rounders
In terms of fast bowling all-rounders, we have three names. Those are Hardik Pandya from MI, Andre Russell from KKR, and Nitish Reddy from SRH. Hardik should get retained as the highest-ranked fast bowler at 18 Cr. Andre Russel should mostly get retained for 14 Cr. Whereas Nitish Reddy should mostly get 11 Cr. In all, these are the best three fast bowling all-rounders in the IPL currently.
Pure Uncapped Fast Bowlers
Finally, talking about the uncapped fast bowlers, we are again looking at three names, and those are Mohit Sharma from Gujarat Titans, Harshit Rana from KKR, and Yash Dayal from RCB. It’s a blessing from RCB and KKR fans as neither Yash Dayal nor Harshit Rana made his debut for Team India in the Bangladesh Test series and T20 series. So, with these two almost sure to get retained, GT can also utilize the new uncapped player rule, and retain Mohit Sharma as the uncapped player for 4 Cr.
