IPL 2026 All 10 Teams Best Predicted Retained Finishers List

From Andre Russell to Hardik Pandya, here’s the best predicted retained finishers list for all 10 teams ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction.

The IPL 2026 Mini Auction is just a couple of months away, and teams are already contemplating their retentions and releases for IPL 2026. While overall retentions shouldn’t see many changes on the side, one area that will be crucial for every team from a team composition point of view is the finishers. The ability to finish matches, or end up putting a fighting total remains one of the most difficult aspects for any batter.

Opening is perhaps the easiest role in T20 cricket. So, if you are good at hitting the ball, you are likely to succeed. But finishing is a difficult phase to bat in. You hardly get 10-15 balls to make a valuable contribution most of the time, and you are expected to hit right from ball 1 in most of the conditions. Since the expectations are huge, you see a very minimal success ratio, and hence, we don’t see many quality finishers around.

So, as the teams prepare for the retentions, this is an area they are likely to focus in the upcoming Auction. But as of today, how are the teams in terms of the finishers in the side? Well, let’s analyse the current squad of all 10 teams, and look at the finishers that the teams are likely to retain ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 Mini Auction. Please note, we shall only look at players who are either designated as finishers or bat in the lower-order.

IPL 2026 All 10 Teams Best Predicted Retained Finishers List

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Best Predicted Retained Finishers List for IPL 2026

  1. Dewald Brevis (o)
  2. MS Dhoni
  3. Ravindra Jadeja
  4. Sam Curran (o)
  5. Shivam Dube

The Chennai Super Kings team shall retain a total of 5 finishers ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction. Among the quality finishers, CSK are likely to include all 5 in the playing 11, with some donning the role as a floater. Right from Dewald Brevis, Shivam Dube, to Ravidra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, and Sam Curran, all are capable enough to be included in the playing 11, and they should primarily bat from the number 4 to 8 position.

Delhi Capitals (DC) Best Predicted Retained Finishers List for IPL 2026

  1. Ashutosh Sharma
  2. Sameer Rizvi
  3. Donovan Ferreira (o)
  4. Tristan Stubbs (o)
  5. Axar Patel (c)
  6. Vipraj Nigam

The Delhi Capitals team shall retain a total of 6 finishers ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction. Barring Donovan Ferreira, Delhi are likely to play the other 5 finishers in their starting best 11. While Sameer Rizvi is primarily a finisher, he is likely to play at 4 with Ashutosh, Stubbs, Axar, and Vipraj following them. The team has strong finishers in place, and with Donovan as the backup, this is one area where they are pretty strong, and won’t make many amends in the Auction.

Gujarat Titans (GT) Best Predicted Retained Finishers List for IPL 2026

  1. Shahrukh Khan
  2. Sherfane Rutherford (o)
  3. Anuj Rawat
  4. Arshad Khan
  5. Mahipal Lomror
  6. Manav Suthar
  7. Nishant Sindhu
  8. Rahul Tewatia
  9. Washington Sundar

The Gujarat Titans team shall retain a total of 9 finishers ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction. The team has finishers in quantity, but when it comes to quality, there aren’t many good options. Barring Sherfane and Tewatia, all the other Finishers are decent, unproven names. Among the ones that GT are likely to include in their playing 11 on priority are Shahrukh Khan, Sherfane Rutherford, Washington Sundar, Rahul Tewatia, and Arshad Khan.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Best Predicted Retained Finishers List for IPL 2026

  1. Ramandeep Singh
  2. Rinku Singh
  3. Andre Russell (o)
  4. Anukul Roy

The Kolkata Knight Riders team shall retain a total of 4 finishers ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction. KKR have three solid finishers in the side, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, and Ramandeep Singh. But given their team combination, they usually don’t get much game time. In addition, there are no good backup finishers in the side. So, in case the team is affected by injury, they will have to rely on multi-skilled players to play the role of a finisher.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Best Predicted Retained Finishers List for IPL 2026

  1. Abdul Samad
  2. Ayush Badoni
  3. David Miller (o)
  4. Himmat Singh
  5. Shahbaz Ahmed

The Lucknow Super Giants team shall retain a total of 5 finishers ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction. If we observe the first-choice retained finishers for LSG, only David Miller stands out as the experienced one. There is no doubt about the ability of the likes of Ayush Badoni, Abdul Samad, Himmat Singh, and Shahbaz Ahmad, but for now, they lack experience, and that becomes critical in pressure matches.

Mumbai Indians (MI) Best Predicted Retained Finishers List for IPL 2026

  1. Robin Minz
  2. Corbin Bosch (o)
  3. Hardik Pandya (c)
  4. Mitchell Santner (o)
  5. Naman Dhir
  6. Raj Bawa
  7. Will Jacks (o)

The Mumbai Indians team shall retain a total of 7 finishers ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction. The MI team has a solid mix of experienced and young finishers in the side. Among experienced ones, MI have Hardik Pandya, Mitchell Santner, and Will Jacks. Whereas among the young ones, MI shall rely on Naman Dhir, Raj Bawa, and Corbin Bosch. Since MI have a good bunch of finishers in the side, they are unlikely to focus on this area in the Auction.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) Best Predicted Retained Finishers List for IPL 2026

  1. Mitchell Owen (o)
  2. Nehal Wadhera
  3. Shashank Singh
  4. Azmatullah Omarzai (o)
  5. Harpreet Brar
  6. Marco Jansen (o)
  7. Marcus Stoinis (o)
  8. Suryansh Shedge

The Punjab Kings team shall retain a total of 8 finishers ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction. Punjab Kings is the only team that can play 10 batters at once, given most of their finishers are also all-rounders. The team had seen the likes of Nehal Wadhera, Shashank Singh, Azmatullah Omarzai, Marcus Stoinis, and Marco Jansen donning the finisher role last year. The same should continue this year, too, with Mitchell Owen, Harpreet Brar, and Suryansh Shedge among backups.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) Best Predicted Retained Finishers List for IPL 2026

  1. Shimron Hetmyer (o)
  2. Shubham Dubey
  3. Dhruv Jurel
  4. Wanindu Hasaranga (o)

The Rajasthan Royals team shall retain a total of 4 finishers ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction. If there is one team that is devoid of quality finishers in the side, it is the Rajasthan Royals. The RR team has just 4 designated finishers, and all generally represent the starting 11. However, among the four, only two are reliable: Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel. The team will have to revamp this area in the Auction, and for that, they will have to rebalance the squad by releasing a few redundant players.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Best Predicted Retained Finishers List for IPL 2026

  1. Swastik Chikara
  2. Tim David (o)
  3. Jitesh Sharma
  4. Krunal Pandya
  5. Manoj Bhandage
  6. Romario Shephard (o)
  7. Swapnil Singh

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru team shall retain a total of 7 finishers ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction. The RCB team is pretty much sorted in terms of finishers, with Jitesh Sharma, Tim David, and Krunal Pandya being the designated finishers. Whereas Romario Shephard, Swapnil Singh, Manoj Bhandage, and Swastik Chikara are good backup finishers in the side. The team is likely to release Liam Livingstone, and in his place, they should add another quality finisher in the side.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Best Predicted Retained Finishers List for IPL 2026

  1. Abhinav Manohar
  2. Aniket Verma
  3. Smaran Ravichandran
  4. Heinrich Klaasen (o)
  5. Harsh Dubey
  6. Kamindu Mendis (o)
  7. Nitish Reddy

The Sunrisers Hyderabad team shall retain a total of 7 finishers ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction. Barring Heinrich Klaasen, all other finishers in the SRH side are youngsters. However, there is plenty of talent in their finisher camp with the likes of Abhinav Manohar, Aniket Verma, Nitish Reddy, and Smaran Ravichandran donning that role. Overall, SRH should not add more finishers in the side, and instead might focus on spinners.
