IPL 2026 All 10 Teams Full Final Retained Overseas Players List
From Heinrich Klaasen to Sunil Narine, let’s unveil the complete final retained Overseas players list for all 10 Teams ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction.
When it comes to Mini Auctions in the Indian Premier League, Overseas players are the ones that are in focus the most. Most of the teams retain a solid Indian core before the Mini Auctions, hence very few of them are released in the Auction. But given the Demand-Supply gap in terms of Overseas players, you will find quality Overseas players in abundance in the Auction, and that is why teams are always on the hunt for Overseas players in the Mini Auctions.
With a capacity to keep 80 Overseas players in the squad, for IPL 2026, we see teams retaining 53 Overseas players ahead of the Auction. Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals have retained the maximum number of Overseas players, 7. Whereas Kolkata Knight Riders have retained the least number of Overseas players, 2. Among the Overseas star players that have been retained are Heinrich Klaasen from SRH, Sunil Narine from KKR, Jos Buttler from GT, and so on.
In terms of star Overseas players that have been released, or will be in demand in the Auction, are Andre Russell, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, etc. With such quality options available, teams also have the funds to spend on them. The IPL 2026 Mini Auction is scheduled for December 16, but before that, let’s look at the complete list of official retained Overseas players for all 10 teams ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 Mini Auction.
IPL 2026 All 10 Teams Full Final Retained Overseas Players List
IPL 2026 Full Retained Overseas Players List for Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
- Dewald Brevis
- Jamie Overton
- Nathan Ellis
- Noor Ahmad
Chennai Super Kings retained just 4 Overseas players ahead of the IPL 2026 Mini Auction. However, barring Dewald Brevis and Noor Ahmad, the other players, Nathan Ellis and Jamie Overton, weren’t regular playing 11 members last year. Given their current retentions, and almost 30 Cr left with them, CSK may go hard on Overseas players, especially the All-rounders like Andre Russell, Glenn Maxwell, Liam Livingstone, etc.
IPL 2026 Full Retained Overseas Players for Delhi Capitals (DC)
- Dusmantha Chameera
- Mitchell Starc
- Tristan Stubbs
Delhi Capitals seems to be in the mood to completely revamp their Overseas contingent for IPL 2026, having retained just 3 names ahead of the Auction. While Mitchell Starc and Tristan Stubbs form a part of the core, Chameera is more of a backup. So, Delhi Capitals will look to buy at least two good options, and 3 as good backups in the side. Thankfully, the Delhi Capitals have 21.8 Cr available with them, and that should fetch them at least two good All-rounders.
IPL 2026 Retained Overseas Players for Gujarat Titans (GT)
- Glenn Phillips
- Jos Buttler
- Kagiso Rabada
- Rashid Khan
The Gujarat Titans team retained just 4 Overseas players for IPL 2026, and coincidentally, these four also happen to be their first-choice playing 11 options for now. Of course, Glenn Phillips couldn’t participate last year due to injury, but he remains a quality unutilized player in the IPL. With 4 quality Overseas players already in place, the Gujarat Titans shall mostly focus on buying backup Overseas players in the Auction, and for that, they have 12.4 Cr, which seems sufficient.
IPL 2026 Retained Overseas Players List for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
- Rovman Powell
- Sunil Narine
Kolkata Knight Riders retained the least number of Overseas players, 2. KKR shocked everyone as they released their long-term star Andre Russell, alongside potential players like Quinton de Kock and Anrich Nortje. With just two retentions, KKR, with more than 64 Cr available with them in their purse, will have the final say when it comes to what Overseas player they would want in their team. If Cameron Green registers, expect Green to fetch roughly 24-25 Cr, and KKR to have a last say on buying him.
IPL 2026 Retained Overseas Players for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)
- Aiden Markram
- Matthew Breetzke
- Mitchell Marsh
- Nicholas Pooran
The Lucknow Super Giants team retained four Overseas players for IPL 2026, and given their DNA for focusing on Overseas batters, they have four of them in their side. While Matthew Breetzke didn’t play much role in IPL 2025, he was retained over David Miller, looking at the Long term. While LSG have only Overseas batters as of now, they will have to hire a few Overseas bowlers in the Auction, and for that, they have 22.95 Cr available with them.
IPL 2026 Retained Overseas Players List for Mumbai Indians (MI)
- Allah Ghazanfar
- Corbin Bosch
- Mitchell Santner
- Ryan Rickelton
- Sherfane Rutherford
- Trent Boult
- Will Jacks
The Mumbai Indians team retained a full-strength 7 Overseas players ahead of the Auction. With good 7 retentions, the team looks complete even before the Auction. With just 2.75 Cr available with them in the purse, the only thing they will do in the Auction is buy a good Overseas backup for Trent Boult, and for that they will need 1.5-2 Cr.
IPL 2026 Retained Overseas Players List for Punjab Kings (PBKS)
- Azmatullah Omarzai
- Lockie Ferguson
- Marco Jansen
- Marcus Stoinis
- Mitchell Owen
- Xavier Bartlett
The Punjab Kings retained a solid 6 Overseas players ahead of the IPL 2026 Auction. While all 6 retentions look solid, PBKS surprisingly released Josh Inglis on account of his availability issues. With Josh Inglis expected to miss most of IPL 2026, PBKS felt safer to release him, and utilise those funds elsewhere. PBKS still have 11.75 Cr available with them, and they will use this amount to buy 2 more Overseas players.
IPL 2026 Retained Overseas Players for Rajasthan Royals (RR)
- Donovan Ferreira
- Lhuan de Pretorius
- Jofra Archer
- Kwena Maphaka
- Nandre Burger
- Sam Curran
- Shimron Hetmyer
The Rajasthan Royals, with 7 retained Overseas players, are almost complete in their Overseas players’ department. The team has a good mix of batters and bowlers in the side when it comes to their away contingent. With 7 Overseas players already there, RR, with a 16 Cr Auction purse, will only look to buy a good Overseas spinner in the side. This is the only missing link in their squad currently.
IPL 2026 Retained Overseas Players List for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
- Jacob Bethell
- Josh Hazlewood
- Nuwan Thushara
- Phil Salt
- Romario Shephard
- Tim David
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru team retained a solid 6 Overseas players for IPL 2026. While Josh Hazlewood, Phil Salt, Tim David, and Romario Shephard are their primary Overseas players for now, they already have two good backup Overseas players also in place. While the Overseas contingent seems sorted, they will still look for a replacement for Liam Livingstone, so that they don’t have to rely fully on Romario Shephard.
IPL 2026 Retained Overseas Players List for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
- Brydon Carse
- Travis Head
- Heinrich Klaasen
- Kamindu Mendis
- Ehsan Malinga
- Pat Cummins
The Sunrisers Hyderabad team retained 6 Overseas players for IPL 2026, and of the six Overseas players, three are star Icon players, who will represent the team in all the matches. With Travis Head, Pat Cummins, and Heinrich Klaasen expected to play all matches, if fit, they have Brydon Carse, Kamidu Mendis, and Ehsan Malinga as the fourth option. So, more or less, the SRH team is sorted for Overseas players, and at max, they will add 1-2 backups at base price in the Auction.
